Summary
Gamers will have from September 26 to October 24 to claim the latest Prime Gaming reward forWorld of Warcraft, which Blizzard revealed to be the Zipao Tiger Pet. This purple, crystalline companion will only be available inWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflightand can be claimed at no added cost by players who have linked their Battle.net and Amazon Prime accounts together.
Starting in April 2023, Amazon and Blizzard began a year-long collaboration that broughta variety of cosmetic items toWorld of Warcraftfor players to claim and use. Among the initial rewards that players claimed were the Big Battle Bear and Feldrake mounts. While the Feldrake was the subject of controversy forWorld of Warcraftplayers, this new Prime Gaming reward is completely different.

Though it has been nearly four years, the return of the Zipao Tiger is the latest example ofWorld of Warcraftusing Prime Gaming as a way for players to claim rewards that would be impossible otherwise. Like other companion pets inWorld of Warcraft, the Zipao Tiger cantake part in pet battles. In a pet battle, the Zipao Tiger is classified as a Magic type with high health, which makes it a reliable choice against Flying enemies.
The return of the Zipao Tiger comes at a busy time forWorld of Warcraft, between the return of the Turbulent Timeways event as well as ongoing player testing ofPatch 10.2 on the public test realm(PTR). Though the pet will lose some of its rarity as a result of the Prime Gaming promotion, it remains to be seen how manyWorld of Warcraftplayers will claim it.
