Last December, she went for a manicure and decided last minute to paint her nails blue as a surprise for her then boyfriend, not knowing he was going to propose.“I even thought to myself, ‘Since I know he’s not proposing for a while, I might as well get my nails painted blue just for him that way they definitely won’t be blue when he does propose,'” Edwards Majors recalls. “I FaceTimed him to show him that they were blue, and he told me later that he had to bite his tongue because he knew I would be getting engaged later that week with the blue nails.“She adds, “We hadn’t been dating for very long when we started talking about getting married. We both knew we wanted to marry each other, I just didn’t know when he was going to actually propose. I thought it would be a few months. Turns out he already had the ring and had planned to propose on that specific weekend for a while.“She posted the video of the proposal on TikTok thinking that women would relate to the stress of what their nail color would be during their proposal. Never did she imagine her video would go viral.“I know so many of my friends worry about making sure their nails are done when their boyfriend proposes.
