Nearly halfway to its Kickstarter goal

Back in November last year,we first got word ofWitchmarsh, a great-looking indie RPG that would be launching a Kickstarter in January, to fund its development. That Kickstarter launched over the weekend, and despite only being four days old, just over £20,000has been raised towards the final goal of £50,000.

Witchmarshis an action-RPG set in Massachusetts during the 1920s, featuring a team of detectives looking for a group of missing people, dubbed the Witchmarsh Twelve. If successfully funded, it will have to of my favorite things: optional two- to four-player co-op and a period jazz score by Francisco Cerda, who did the wonderful music forGunpointandJamestown.

If you’re wondering if you should back the Kickstarter, you should check out all thegifs on the dev team’s tumblr; it seems like any project that generates great gifs is successful (Hyper Light Drifter).
