Here are the esports-related categories for The Game Awards 2022.
Geoff Keighley’s yearly salute to all things video games is here yet again, with The Game Awards 2022 esports nominees being revealed alongside the likes of God of War and Elden Ring. While it’s lovely to see esports be mentioned on a mainstream gaming stage, one can’t help but notice that the nominations come from only the most recognizable brands. This includes nominations for “Best Esports Game” including nothing but titles that weren’t released in 2022 and heavy representation fromLeague of LegendsandCS: GO.

For the game that has delivered the best overall esports experience to players (inclusive of tournaments, community support and content updates), irrespective of genre or platform.
