Wolves Esports had a great start on Pearl, and that early advantage helped the team reach their victorious end. Heretics recovered nicely, especially with the power of timeouts. They were extremely close to making the score even. But the last round by Wolves was just clinical — a risky rush to deliver kills and gain a man advantage to then bother with planting Spike.
Wolves Esports delivered some dominant situations, like an ace by juicy.
Team Heretics had something to say in this back-and-forth game, like a great win with a limited buy in Round 15.

Once again, Wolves established a powerful early advantage — with six rounds in a row. It looked like nothing went Heretics’ way on the defender’s side. Wolves, on the other hand, created miraculous moments, like super quick kills after moving through the wall by Spring.
Still, close to the side switch, Team Heretics won a few crucial rounds not to turn Lotus into a complete disaster. In a way, it felt like Wolves got infected by overconfidence. After the break, Heretics even managed to make the score 7:7.
Then, the situation generally repeated itself. Wolves Esports got themselves a four-round streak to bring the score advantage close to the match point. And then, they just delivered the final blow.
In the final rounds, it felt like the timing play was out of balance for Heretics: impatience and postponed actions hit them hard.

Match preview: Falling low to rise high?
Being in an elimination match at VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025 wasn’t the plan of these teams. However, this is the pure excitement of esports: someone loses, and the result is unpredictable.
Team Heretics faced Paper Rexin their opening match. The start was so bad for Heretics, that it looked like they were not able to do anything there. On Map 2, the situation became somewhat more even, but Paper Rex did not miss this chance to celebrate victory.
In general, being in the elimination zone so early is a big downgrade for Team Heretics, considering they battled at the grand final ofVALORANT Champions 2024 in Seoul.
Wolves Esports did not experience the same level of desperation in theiropening match against Sentinels. They had two very close maps and even a nice advantage in the first half of Game 1. However, the battle had a disappointing end for the Wolves.
The team joined VALORANT esports just recently, and Wolves Esports do not have big victories so far. Masters Toronto 2025 is their first top-level event.
