A Texas mother who appeared to launch a GoFundMe to raise money after the death of her infant son has now been charged with his murder.
Amarillo police say in a release that they were called to a home on Nov. 6 with a report of an unresponsive infant, Jackson Knight Blackmon, who was later pronounced dead.
After an autopsy, police say it became apparent that further investigation was needed. The 7-month-old infant’s mother, Angel Varner, 20, was subsequently arrested and charged with murder, the department says.
Before she was arrested, Varner seems to have started a GoFundMe to raise money for the funeral expenses, according to a report fromABC 7 News.
