According to a post he made on social media, Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon, the TEKKEN 8 champion of last year’s event, will be part of Esports World Cup 2025 as well.
“TEKKEN 8! I’ll go [to Saudi Arabia] again this year and [I’ll be] aiming for the trophy again!“he stated.

In 2024, Ulsan claimed victory with Dragunov and won $300,000 USD. He also became the MVP of the TEKKEN 8 competition, securing another $50,000 USD.
The player went undefeated in the group stages. This was the same in the third phase of the tournament where he went 5-3 and 5-1 before duking it out against Atif “Atif Butt” Ijaz’s own Dragunov and sweeping the latter player 5-0. Will Ulsan win another Esports World Cup TEKKEN 8 title? Only time will tell.
