Daisy Ridley wants in on Tomb Raider reboot

Well, the lead from latestStar Wars, Daisy Ridley, is aiming for top billing elsewhere, according toThe Hollywood Reporter. There “have been conversations” about Ridley filling Angelina Jolie’s beige short shorts in the upcoming film series reboot that’s been talked about forfive years now. Ridley hasn’t been offered the role yet and there isn’t even a script, but, “I’m waiting for someone to say ‘I want you, let’s do it,'” she said.
Ridley’s co-star John Boyega thinks it’s a perfect fit. “I playedTomb Raiderthe game, it’s a new take and I think the movies are going to be based on that version,” he said. “But I texted Daisy [and] was like, ‘this is you!’ and ‘you need to get on that because you could be Lara Croft.’ She should be.”
