The show’s most personal mystery so far has beenfiguring out how Em died before Revival Day. She can’t fully recall how she ended up becoming a Reviver, only knowing she either jumped or was pushed from a bridge. While investigating, she grows closer to Rhodey, a fellow Reviver who becomes her boyfriend.
When the pair jump from a bridge together in episode 3, it triggers a flashback for Em, reminiscent of her drawings she’s been using to try and remember that day. She realizes in the episode’s final moments thatBlaine had approached her on the bridge the night she died, indicating he might have information about what happened to her.

Given Blaine’s mysterious connection to the Revivers already, it makes sense for his story to somehow be tied with Em’s. While themystery horror TV showhasn’t confirmed it yet,he could also have something to do with her death. This is especially because so much is unknown about him, other than a radical mindset toward Revivers.
