This week, the app has been updated to Version 2.0., and to celebrate, The Pokemon Company is giving away some free Pokemon as gifts.

Pokemon Home: How to Get Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet
Toget Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet inPokemon Home, fans need to deposit at least one Pokemon fromPokemon Legends: Arceus. It doesn’t matter which Pokemon it is; as long as one is moved over successfully,Pokemon Homeowners will get the three starters in the mobile app.
If Pokemon Home users are having troubleconnecting toPokemon Legends: Arceusdue to the save data not being updated, make sure that you go into the game and save progress with the updated version and then restartPokemon Home.
After the Pokemon has been deposited, open up thePokemon Homeapplication on mobile and hit the green button at the bottom of the screen.
From here, press Mystery Gift and then Gift Box. Players should see thethree starter Pokemonavailable as special gifts. Click each one to save them toPokemon Home. Cyndaquil, Rowlet, and Oshawott can be sent to other mainline titles exceptPokemon Let’s GO.
