An official Blizzard livestream mentioned that Overwatch World Cup 2023 is heading to BlizzCon.
Overwatch World Cup 2023 is likely heading to BlizzCon. Caster ZP mentioned BlizzCon and the Overwatch World Cup during the Europe & Middle East Conference (EMEA) Qualifiers livestream. Read on for more context and details.
Overwatch World Cup 2023 at BlizzCon 2023
During the EMEC Overwatch World Cup 2023 Online Qualifiers event, caster ZP mentioned BlizzCon while talking about the Finland versus Saudi Arabia match. The match took place on the Numbani map.
“You take a look at this, and whoever loses this match — they have to now look at Sweden and go, ‘We must beat Sweden or you’re gone. No BlizzCon, no nothing.'" ZP said duringthe livestream. “Like, it’s here. So you want to have that flexibility and still get into BlizzCon proper.”
For more context, only five teams out of 16 in the EMEA conference will advance to the Overwatch World Cup Group Stages and Finals. The 16 EMEA teams are the following:

The matches for this Overwatch World Cup 2023 Online Qualifiers phase are running from June 22 through July 2. After the 16 spots in the World Cup Group Stage are filled, the World Cup Finals will determine the 2023 champion.
BlizzCon 2023
Blizzard officially announced BlizzCon 2023 back in May. The event will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center between Nov. 3 and 4.
“We’ll be back with more details about the show next month including ticketing information, cosplay and other competition details, and more,” Blizzard stated inthe announcement.
The post also noted that hotel blocks are available for those who wish to make their travel plans early.
