The"Patch"skin for Wolverine is one of the few Hellfire Gala costumes not featured in theSeason 2 Battle Pass forMarvel Rivals. Like the Flora Maiden costume for Mantis, youhave to participate in a seasonal eventto unlock the skin for Wolverine. While this might take longer than progressing through the Battle Pass, it makes the skin free.
How To Earn The Patch Wolverine Skin
Go Through Three Acts Of The Seasonal Event
The only way to earn the Patch skin for Wolverine is toplay through the Hellfire Gala Moments seasonal event. This event is separated into three distinct"Acts"that take place over different periods, allowing players to earn the free costume as their main reward. Although you only have a limited time to get the Patch skin, that time is spread out longer than you might expect.
Theseasonal content featuring the Patch costume goes live on July 01, 2025, and is set to last for at least a week or two. To earn the Wolverine costume, you have to complete three different Gala Missions tied to each Act of the event. The following table goes over each mission, what Act they appear in, and how you’re able to meet their requirements to get the Patch skin:

Complete mission objectives to earn X-Coins used to purchase Hellfire Trading Company gift packs that contain different cosmetic rewards.
Cast 10 Votes for Your Gala Star
Act 3 - Gala Star Vote
Complete mission objectives to gather Voting Tokens, which you spend to vote on which character is"Best Dressed"at the Hellfire Gala this year.
Completing all three missions in every Act of the Hellfire Gala Moments event will unlock the Patch Wolverine skinfor free, with no additional actions needed. As of this time of writing, it is unclear when the various Acts of the event unlock for players, but each will likely be staggered by at least a few days.
During the third Act of the Hellfire Gala Moments event, you may vote for Wolverine’s Patch skin as the"Best Dressed"look among seven other characters. Whichever character wins the Hellfire Gala vote will receive a new skin for next year’s Hellfire Gala!
