Recently, we reported thatLittleBigPlanetwould be getting an image importation toolby this Christmas. Since then, developer Sam_Protagonist spoke up on theofficial PlayStation message boardsaying that while image importation is “technically viable,” there are currently “no plans to introduce it for a variety of reasons.”
No image importing then, right? Unfortunately, these things tend not to be so cut and dry. The above picture is currently being hosted onMedia Molecule’s Flickraccount and as you may see, pictures the Image Import Tool in all its glory. The shot was uploaded yesterday, which means several days after Sam_Protagonist made his statement.
I assume that we will all be happy campers and uploading our beautiful high-resolution shots of Mr. Destructoid intoLBPin the near future. Evans toldPS3 Attitudethat the work on the tool was “done” and that the only thing left was for it to “go through QA and then certification.” Obviously, there is some sort of miscommunication going on, but we’ll be sure to stay on top of it.
