Basinger Shares Sweet 28th Birthday Tribute to Daughter Ireland

Kim Basingeris honoring her not-so-little girl on her birthday.

On Monday, the actress, 69, shared a sweet tribute to her daughterIrelandon her 28th birthday. Posting a slideshow of photos of her daughter throughout the years, Basinger took a minute to reflect on everything the mother-daughter duo has been through together as well as honor her daughter as now a first-time mom.

“We all grow up with our kids…grow old with our kids…grow younger with our kids…They are students who become our teachers…they are our joy and our pain…We are each others’ comfort in the storm…and cheerleaders in the victories…,” the proud mom began her caption.

Referring to her daughter, Basinger wrote: “She and I started this journey 28 years ago today…And there have been rough waters that we held onto each other and navigated through together…But there have also been beautiful views of some of the most breathtaking places in the world.”

Ireland commented on her mom’s post, writing “😢 so sweet. Love you 🩷.”

In May, Ireland welcomed her daughter Holland with boyfriend RAC (born André Allen Anjos),revealing the exciting news on Instagram. Sharing a photo from the hospital where she laid with her infant daughter in one arm, Baldwin smiled as RAC leaned into them both.

“Holland 🩷,” she captioned the shot.

“We’re naming her Holland. I’m Ireland, so another country name because we wanted to keep that consistent,” she said on theGirlboss Radiopodcast, with a chuckle.

“And then I love the actressHolland Taylor,” she added. “I’ve always loved that name since I was young, I just thought that was such a classy, beautiful name, so we’re going with Holland.”
