Pathfinder gets a well deserved buff in Apex Season 25, with changes to his Ultimate and Tactical.
Justice has been done in Apex Legends Season 25, with Pathfinder getting a much requested buff this season. This Legend has always been one of the most popular Legends to play. He has been buffed, nerfed and buffed again over the games history.
However, a patch at the start of the year re-introduced a 30 second cooldown for his Grappling Hook Passive ability. This was a big nerf, because it impacted his powerful movement ability.
Previously, Pathfinder had a variable cooldown that was determined by how far you travelled via the grapple. If you flunked your grapple and didn’t go far at all, you’d get a shorter cooldown to compensate. If you aligned it perfectly and catapulted across half the map, you’d get a maximum cooldown of 30 seconds.
This mechanic and other changes he received made Pathfinder a fun, but powerful, option in the game. The community was disappointed by the buff, and that feedback has been heard loud and clear by Respawn.

What makes Pathfinder so fun to play, besides his personality, is how flexible his abilities are. They are good for offence, or escaping enemies. The Zipline is a great team ability, allowing you to reposition your entire team or escape yourself. Zipline Zen lets that ability become even more aggressive, with the huge 50% damage reduction.
