Can you play NHL 25 via Xbox Game Pass?
NHL 25 is the latest iteration of EA’s popular Ice Hockey franchise. But, will the game be avaliable on Xbox Game Pass when it releases at the start of October?
Here’s everything we know about if NHL 25 will be included on Xbox Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play as it stands.
Is NHL 25 on Xbox Game Pass?
No, the base version of NHL 25 will not be included with Xbox Game Pass when theNHL 25 release daterolls around.
However, based on previous editions of NHL, the game will eventually come to Game Pass. This will just happen much later in the year. NHL 24 joined the Xbox Game Pass line-up in mid-April.
That’s quite a long time to wait, and if you’re keen to dive into things like Ultimate Team you’d be left pretty far behind if you weren’t able to play until April. That said, if you’re really not wanting to pay for NHL 25 patience will pay off and the game should be avaliable on Game Pass a few months after launch.

Is NHL 25 on EA Play?
NHL 25 will be avaliable on EA Play from September 27, but only for 10 hours of early access. After that, you will have to buy one of the two NHL 25 editions to continue. If you have EA play, you’ll be able to knock 10% off the cost of the game as well as saving on things like NHL points.
Is NHL 25 on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
The full and unlimited version of NHL 25 will not be on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate when the game releases. This is the same as standard Game Pass, where it will release a few months down the line.
