“ As we were slowly driving past that stretch , we saw a white - look tiger sit down on the hillside , half concealed by undergrowth , and looking at us , ” Ray , from Bangalore , told IFLScience . “ It depend rather singular and cute , rather than scared or fast-growing . And then another Panthera tigris – a normal , orange one – appeared , much faithful to us . ”

As they drew closer , the pale tiger was still visible , allowing Ray to snap a few shooting of the incredibly rare animate being . The sizing of the wan feline suggests that it is still a sub - grownup . Ray and his   guide were unable to get a full view of the normal - coloured Panthera tigris   to tell apart its age . “ They could be siblings , or female parent and cub , ” propose Ray .

The wan tiger is neither   a true white tiger nor an albino , it is slightly different . It is thought to have a genetic mutation that induce the colouring material morphism , though the exact gene is unknown . The last reported case of anyone project a pallid Panthera tigris in the wild was   in the 1980s byBelinda Wrightin a completely different part of the country . Wright ,   the laminitis of the Wildlife Protection Society of India , toldthe Guardianthat it was n’t anywhere near as pale as this one .

The last white Panthera tigris spotted in the natural state was shot in 1958 . Since then , no others have been seen , which intimate   the recessive allele that devote rise to the colour is incredible rare within the hold up groundless Panthera tigris universe . It is likely this   tiger is the palest crazy tiger bed to subsist .
