The Honor of Kings 2025 esports calendar announced eight regional leagues, three global tournaments, and two grassroots events.
Honor of Kings (HoK), a mobile game published by PUBG MOBILE’s publisher Level Infinite, is ready to expand its global esports scene by investing $15 million USD and launching the regional leagues tournament format. This initiative is part of their 2025 esports calendar, which was announced during the HoK Invitational Season 3 grand finals held on March 1 in Manila, Philippines.
Six new regional leagues to launch this spring
The introduction of Regional Professional Leagues was certainly the highlight of the announcement, as this development has been highly anticipated since the game’s global launch in June 2024.
Six new regional leagues — Philippines Kings League (PKL), Malaysia Kings League (MKL), Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL), Wildcard Kings Series (WKS), Major East League (KME) and Major West League (KMW) — will join the existing King Pro League (KPL), Honor of Kings’ professional league in China, and Honor of Kings Brazil Championship (CHOKBR) in the competitive ecosystem. Notably, some new organizations, including OG Esports, known for its success in Dota 2, have officially joinedthe league, suggesting an exciting shift in the competitive landscape.

Two upcoming global tournaments for 2025, including the EWC
The regional leagues will culminate in two major global tournaments — the KWC as the Honor of Kings World Cup and Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC) — scheduled to take place in July at the Esports World Cup (EWC) and in November, respectively. This year’s KWC will represent a significant milestone, as global teams will face off against the champion of the KPL Spring Season for the first time in Riyadh.
While the prize pools for both tournaments have not yet been officially announced, expectations are high based on previous figures. The last KWC, previously known as the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason 2024, offered a staggering total prize pool of $3,000,000 USD, while the KIC 2023 boasted a record-breaking $10,000,000 USD prize pool, the largest amount ever in mobile esports history.
$15 million investment in the global esports ecosystem
Honor of Kings' full 2025 esports roadmap includes a remarkable investment of $15 million USD aimed at building its global esports ecosystem, as announced by James Yang, the senior director of Level Infinite Global Esports Center.
In addition to the League and Global tournaments, Honor of Kings has also introduced the Honor of Kings Open Series and the Honor of Kings Campus Series — grassroots, open-for-all tournaments designed to engage a broader audience.
The Honor of Kings Open Series will return for Split 4 as a public tournament with no rank restrictions, allowing players of all skill levels to participate. Meanwhile, the Campus Series will be supported in 92 countries and regions, featuring a global prize pool of $100,000 USD, which aims to nurture emerging talent and promote competitive gaming within educational institutions.
