One woman got extra Swifty for her niece’s holiday present this year.
OnTikTok, Amanda Wilde explained how after her niece Adalyn, 10, requested aTaylor SwiftAmerican Girl doll for the holidays, she endeavored to create one herself.
“When your niece wants a Taylor Doll for Christmas, you make it happen 👏🏼 🪩✨” she captioned the video.
The outfits ranged from Swift’s goldFearlessdress to herSpeak Nowballgown to a black top forMidnights. It took Wilde around 2 weeks to complete the collection. Speaking to PEOPLE Wilde says she worked on the project each night after she got home from work.
“The gold “Fearless” inspired outfit took the most time with attaching the individual tassels,” she says. “I’d say that the hardest part of creating it all, outside of physically making the clothes, was finding good materials to use.”
“I thrifted 90% of what you see. I found the box at a local resale shop for $15 and then thrifted different items of clothing for the outfits,” she continues. “I cut and loosely measured them around my niece’s knock-off American Girl Doll to make sure they fit well.”
“I loved making the sequin ‘Lover’ inspired dress,” she continues. “It pulled the whole project together. I actually found that material on the 23rd at a local craft store and hurried home to turn it into the masterpiece that this box is before gifting it to her on Christmas Day. That is the only raw material I used, the rest were thrifted clothes!”

Looking back on the moment Wilde says her niece’s reaction to the gift was priceless.
“I wish I would have filmed it,” Wilde says. “I had also posted Snapchat Stories of me making the outfits along the way, my niece Adalyn had seen what I was creating. I tricked her into thinking that it was for her cousin, Ellie, who is six. Ellie also loves Taylor (I mean who doesn’t!) but Adalyn is a true Swiftie.”
She adds: “She and I bonded all year over Taylor. She knew every song and sang her heart out at the movie when we saw it in theaters. She was so convinced that this wasn’t for her that on Christmas Day when we exchanged gifts, she called Ellie back into the room because I ‘forgot’ to give her the last gift.”
“She was shocked when I handed it to her instead of Ellie and had to reassure her multiple times that it was actually for her. It was so sweet,” Wilde adds.
