Three open qualifiers across all Rocket League esports regions lead to the offline matches of the Raleigh Major.

The Rocket League community is pretty excited about the most recent competitive announcement: the monthly Cash Cups. At first sight, these tournaments have little connection to the primary esports league, Rocket League Championship Series 2 (RLCS) 2025 and its Split 2 — which starts at the end of April. On the other hand, smaller events should shake the somewhat settled scene, at least potentially.

The open qualifiers of Split 1 and the Birmingham Major itself proved a drastic dominance of some teams: on the regional and international levels. Sure, unexpected results occurred back then, but they were mainly in Open 3, when the leaders had already qualified for the Major 1.

RLCS 2025 Split 2 schedule

The competition takes place in seven regions. With the current Rocket League tournament schedule, some regions have their matches on the same day, while others play within a week gap.

Like inRLCS 2025 Split 1, each Open event consists of a few stages.

Sure, these are only qualifiers, but the stakes are still high: qualification for theRaleigh Major RLCS 2025that takes place from June 26 to June 29. Landing high in the Playoffs is crucial to be on the top of the regional leaderboards.

1v1 Rocket League esports: RLCS 2025 Split 2

During Split 1, three regions participated in the1v1 Rocket League championship. Mawkzy won the European qualifier, and yanxnz was the best in South America. They played in the grand final at the Birmingham Major, and Mawkzy qualified for the RLCS 2025 World Championship.

The third region was Asia-Pacific (APAC), and shadi won it. However, it wasn’t part of the qualification series.

As for Split 2, the 1v1 RLCS 2025 qualifiers happen in North America (NA) and Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The winners play in the grand final at the Rocket League esports Major 2 in Raleigh.

There also are tournaments in Oceania and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), but the winners do not advance to the offline Major.

Roster changes before Split 2

Unlike the inter-season period, the transfer window between Splits 1 and 2 did not bring us major roster changes.

The most notable shift happened in Gen.G Mobil1 Racing. The winners ofNA Open 3released Slater “Retals” Thomas. The former captain of Gen.G is now in Shopify Rebellion. He was replaced with Justin “jstn.” Morales, who was a Shopify Rebellion player before.

Big roster changes in Rocket League: RLCS 2025 Split 1

Some of the best Rocket League teams in the world changed their rosters quite significantly.

There is a gap in the official Rocket League esports schedule after the Raleigh Major. The RLCS 2025 World Championship is from Sept. 9 to Sept. 14. However, the game has a tournament at the Esports World Cup 2025, from Aug. 14 to Aug. 17.

Last year, Team BDS won theEsports World Cup 2024event and theWorld Champions title. That roster is in different teams now, which makes the biggest offline tournaments especially interesting.
