The Chainsaw serves two purposes in Fortnite.
The Chainsaw is a new weapon available in Fortnite as of today, Oct. 12 until the end of Fortnitemares 2024.
If you’re not into horror movies, this new weapon draws inspiration from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise. In these movies, the scary villain Leatherface notoriously uses a chainsaw to kill his victims. Leatherface, by the way, is also one of the Fortnitemares 2024 skins.

While Leatherface only uses the Chainsaw to get rid of the victims in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre movies, the weapon can be used differently in Fortnite. It’s up to the players to decide whether or not they want to kill enemies with it.
