Rumors in the Fortnite scene suggest that Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper are coming back!
The incredibly rare OG Fortnite skins Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper could return as soon as Dec. 19, according to reputable leakers. Although unconfirmed, the pair recently received updated Item Shop assets. Pair that with Epic Games reportedly launching a “Super OG” Shop on Dec. 19, and there’s plenty of evidence to support the rumors.

More developments arrived over the last few years, with leakers confirming that Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper will return on Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. Two additional OG Chapter 1 Season 1 cosmetics will accompany the rare skins in the “Super OG Shop.” Fortnite leaker HYPEX has confirmed that you may unlock the cosmetics by earning XP, but whether you will need to spend V-Bucks on them is unclear.

The evidence leading to this theory is beyond compelling. Before the Dec. 18 Item Shop reset, several leakers, includingHYPEX, reported that the Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper Fortnite skins received updated images. Epic swiftly deleted these images, presumably to maintain the element of surprise. Despite Epic Gamesreleasing new takes on the skins, the genuine OG versions could be coming back.
Also, according to the leaks, the Aerial Assault Trooper skin received a “never-before-seen” render. With all that said, the fact that a new OG Item Shop arrives in-game tomorrow adds more legitimacy to the rumors. It’s important to note that Epic Games has not confirmed these rumors. However, with less than 24 hours remaining until the next Item Shop reset, we should know relatively soon.

Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper are two ofthe rarest Fortnite skins ever.They debuted in the Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 1 Shop. Initially, Epic Games led players to believe these would never return. In fact, neither skin has been available to purchase for over 2,000 days. As a result, they have become the stuff of legend in Fortnite, with only the most OG players repping them in-game.
If the rumors are true, players who passed on Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper and those who began their Fortnite adventure after Season 1 could add both to their Lockers. We will find out in due time with the Super OG Shop launching in-game on Dec. 19. This could also open the door for other OG skins to return in future updates.
