Every once in a while, a weeklyFortnitequest will challenge you to do multiple tasks in a single match. On even rarer occasions, you’ll need to do all of said tasks with little to no instruction. With the next season coming up, it’s important to clear out all of your errant weekly quests and maximize your XP.
Collecting a medallion and a boon in a single match can seem like a tricky challenge, but as longas you have an Outlaw Keycard, you have the boon portion covered. The medallion portion is a little tougher, but thankfully, this season addedMortal Kombatcharactersinto the mix, which dole out First Blood medallions every single time they are defeated. You’ll need to act fast at the beginning of the match to clear both objectives.
Go Fight A Mortal Kombat Character In The Living Forest
Get The First Blood Medallion
Medallions are way tougher to come by than boons, so for the sake of this challenge, you’ll want to grab the former first, then acquire the latter.The easiest way to do this is to land at the Living Forest location(just southwest of Flooded Frogs) and ring theMortal Kombatdragon-themed gong to start an NPC boss fight with aMortal Kombatcharacter (currently, players will face Scorpion). you may pick up items to help you with this bout before or after you ring the gong.
Killing Scorpion will net you the First Blood medallion; which will not only help you clear half of this challenge, but it also powers up your weapon so that the first shot of your magazine triggers an explosion after it hits an enemy. If you’re not keen on using the Living Forest method, you’ll find another medallion (andMortal KombatNPC fight) via The Pit location, on the far right of the map.
Next, Get a Boon From A Nearby Black Market
Open The Backroom With A Keycard
Having an Outlaw Keycard is crucial for this method, as it will allow you to easily enter a Black Market location, grab a Dill Bit, and complete this challenge. After taking out theMortal KombatNPC, you’ll need to head to Magic Mosses and enter the Black Market building (you can locate it via the map above, or by finding the location yourself below the “C” in Magic Mosses on the minimap. Enter the building and walk downstairs to enter the Black Market, then go behind the NPC (Joss). Unlock the backroom, and jump down to the bottom floor.
The first player who opens the large chest on the lower floor of the backroom will get a Dill Bit, which you can use to grab a Boon near Joss. Either climb up the stairwell or walk up the stairs, pass the NPC, and buy the Adrenaline Rush Boon right around the corner, behind a pillar. The quest will pop immediately, as long as you’ve acquired a medallion in the same match.
It’s important to remember that while this is one of the easiest methods to complete both objectives for thisFortnitequest, this can be done with any medallion and any boon on the map. Sometimes you’ll wander across a boon through a special chest or quest, so your options are open if you want to go a different route.
If you do not have an Outlaw Keycard this season inFortnite,you can rob a vaultto obtain a Dill Bit. Afterward, you’ll need to visit a Black Market to redeem it.
