New goodies headed toFFXIVwith each update are scattered through Live Letter presentations and patch notes, so it’s easy to lose track of what’s coming when. In Patch 6.5 Growing Light, we’ll see a treasure trove of new collectibles in the form of mounts, minions, Triple Triad cards, and more.
So, of course, we’re here to help you with a to-do list of where and how to collect the new additions. As of Patch 6.55, we’re updating our list to reflect everything added in the Patch 6.5x series, so you should be able to glean what new mounts, minions, and cards are lurking out there for the collector in you. And if you’re here just looking for newFFXIVhousing items,we’ve got that covered, too.
FFXIV Patch 6.5x: Mounts
Right now, we know the Growing Light Extreme Trial rewards theLynx of Abyssal Grief. Also, players thatcollect all seven Lynx mountscan obtain theBahamut mount,or at least that’s what we’re calling it for now. The dragon is based onFinal Fantasy IV’spixel art by Yoshitaka Amano.
In this update, you’ll need to have either saved up enough Faux Leaves from the weekly minigame or beat Thordan Unreal to earn your weekly currency. Typically, these cost 600 Faux Leaves to buy when they’re new. Faux Hollows reward mounts are also for sale by other players on the market board, but they’ll cost you millions.

That’s a Mammet — hold your applause for my keen observation. If you’re keeping up withFFXIV’sIsland Sanctuary content, you’re probably quite familiar with these little guys. If not, you may want to get to work. This is the Vicarious Vacationer, one of many rewards available from the slice-of-life content.

While we may not know every new Triple Triad card just yet, we do know that more of The Twelve are on the way. The Gold Saucer mini-game update brings cards forHalone, Nophica, Althyk, and Nymeia.

For those of us still fighting to get our portraits to cooperate, the Growing Light update does introduce a few new decorations for your personalized profile.

Orchestrion Rolls in Growing Light Update
No patch is complete without composer Masayoshi Soken’s iconic tracks. You can collect a few in-game versions of those songs, too. The Version 6.5 update adds a few new jams for you to play in your personal house, Island Sanctuary, and or private housing locations.

Hairstyles for Hrothgar and Viera
They may be old news for some, but for the Viera and Hrothgar there are plenty of hairstyles still unavailable. In this latest update,FFXIVadds a few more cuts for the two races lacking in salon options. From left to right in the image above, it looks like the Hrothgar have Rainmaker and Modern Legend, while the Viera sport Lexen-tails and Form and Function.
