Took them long enough to announce it!

Well, it finally happened. The Chinese Room and Sony have, at last, officially confirmed that the (now former) PS4 exclusiveEverybody’s Gone to the Rapturewill be heading to PC.

In an email sent to Destructoid, The Chinese Room says it sent a completed PC build to Sony a few weeks ago, but Sony has yet to confirm any sort of launch window. If the port’s already completed, though, I can’t imagine a release being too far off now.

This news shouldn’t exactly come as a surprise, as the PC port’s existence has been unofficially known for quite a while now. First, itpopped upin the Steam databasea few times, and then only a few days ago it was included in the patch notes forthe most recent AMD graphics drivers.

Even if the leaks may have dampened the surprise somewhat, I’m still stupidly excited to both replayEverybody’s Gone to the Raptureon PC,andsee how a whole new audience takes to it. WhileSteven wasn’t blown away by it, I considered itmy top game of the year last yearfor its compelling story and fantastic scenery.

If you have any interest in stunningly beautiful narrative-based games,Raptureis definitely one to check out. Plus it runs on the CryEngine, which means it’ll probably look even better on a high-end PC!
