The announcement arrived earlier this week from an official LGD Gaming social media account. Although the move seems quite major, PSG is still in partnership with LGD Gaming in their other fields like League of Legends. Therefore, the departure is exclusively with the Dota 2 squad. you’re able to read their full, official blog post about ithere.
The departure from the Dota 2 squad surprised the community. Since they partnered back in 2018, the team had cemented their position as one of the best in the world. At the beginning of 2018, they won both Epicenter XL and the Changsha Major, not to mention being the runner-ups at The International (TI) 2018. In 2019 and 2020, the team faced difficulties as their only notable placement was third at TI 2019.

However, the following years saw LGD Gaming kicking it into high gear. They secured the title of champions at the WePlay AniMajor, claimed another second place at TI 2021, and secured a champion title at Riyadh Masters 2022.
Despite the loss of PSG from the Dota 2 organization, it doesn’t affect the legacy that LGD has on the Dota 2 community. Regardless of the name that the players fall under, the Chinese squad is arguably the best in the region. Additionally, they intend to prove it once more atTI 2023.
