Disney’s D23 event is a biennial event that brings Disney and MARVEL fans together from all over the world. The announcements at D23 give fans a glimpse into what they can expect - some short-term and some announcements might take a few years to materialize. This year, there’s speculation about a MARVEL x Fortnite collaboration in the new Fortnite season. For Fortnite fans, many of whom are also MARVEL fans, the D23 event might give a first glimpse into what Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 holds.
Fortnite x Disney Trailer
While it is not yet confirmed, there’s high speculation of a Fortnite x Marvels trailer dropping at D23. The new Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 will start on August 16 after the previous Season comes to an end on the same day. Season 4 will focus on MARVEL characters with Doctor Doom most likely as the main character for the season.
D23 takes place one week before the new Fortnite season release and there is a high chance fans might get to see a gameplay trailer or teaser for the new season. Epic Games has had regular collaborations with various pop music artists and crossovers and this collaboration with Disney is bound to be one of the most popular ones.
What to expect at the D23 event?
Disney’s D23 event kicks off on August 9 in Anaheim, California and fans can expect some big announcements and revelations. Disney has revealed some of the events planned for this year’s event.
The event will celebrate 30 years of Toy Story in 2024 as well as provide a sneak peek into Marvel Animation. Furthermore, there will also be an event that celebrates 50 years of Wolverine. Marvel recently released Deadpool & Wolverine which has garnered widespread acclaim. The movie has been a massive hit and featured cameos by Xmen as well as The Fantastic Four - all of which now come under the MARVEL umbrella.
