There is always a lot of hype around a new raid activity in theDestinyfranchise, with raids being one of the pinnacle and most unique activities in the game.Destiny 2will soon release itsWarmind DLCon May 8, and included in the expansion is a new raid lair, titled Spire of Stars.
As is always the case, the Spire of Stars raid lair is being kept well under wraps with virtually nothing known about it outside of the title. But it may be possible to draw a few assumptions about it fromDestiny 2’s first raid lair, Eater of Worlds.

First off, Spire of Stars will almost certainly take place aboard the Leviathan, the giant planet-eating ship that serves as the location forDestiny 2’s main raidas well as the first raid lair. There is even a spot already on the Leviathan’s Director menu for Spire of Stars.
Developer Bungie designed the Leviathan ship to be a massive craft that houses all kinds of environments and enemy factions for players to tangle with, and so it’s assumed that raid teams will once again fly to the Leviathan and unlock a new path that will take them into its depths.
Another safe bet is that the Spire of Stars raid lair will be very similar in size toEater of Worlds, which is significantly shorter than the Leviathan raid and features one main boss at the end of some small, puzzle-like encounters that raid teams need to solve first.
Again, there’s no way to know for sure how exactly Spire of Stars will work. Bungie hasn’t even revealed what kind of enemy faction players may face in the new raid lair. But, again, this is theDestinyway. Raids are arguably the biggest secretDestinyhas to hide, as hardcore players enjoy racing each other on launch day for the title of World First.
Speaking of launch, Warmind launches May 8, but Bungie has yet to reveal the launch date for Spire of Stars. It will likely be just days after the launch of the expansion itselfif Bungie follows its usual schedule.
Destiny 2: Warmindreleases June 17, 2025 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
