If you’re anything like us, you are going to run into some tough challengers. The majority of them will use a Pikachu EX orMewtwo EX deck. There may be some Lapras EX or Articuno EX with the Misty cheese in there, but they’re found less than the other two.
Honestly, use whatever deck you’d like. it is completely up to you to perform well, but using your own Pikachu EX or Mewtwo EX setup is just as viable as anyone else doing it. If you want to counter those, though, we suggest the following byMogwai via X.
We tried it out and it works wonders. The Fighting-types do extra damage to Pikachu and other Electric-types. Then you have Golbat to deal with any Psychic-types in a Mewtwo EX deck.
It can also help against an Articuno EX. If Blizzard hits and you’ve got a Primeape on your bench, it’ll take 10 damage. That then activates its attack’s ability, making it hit 100 total damage if you swap it in. Good luck!
