Find out who might win the 1v1 showdown at BetBoom Dacha Dubai.

For a long time, the Dota 2 community has been deprived of the exciting 1v1 showdowns. And in five more days, we’ll see BetBoom Dacha Dubai 1v1 tournament fill in that void.

Midlaners at the BetBoom Dacha 1v1 tournament

The 1v1 tournament sees players from all roles give their shot. But as it is a midlane battle, it’s only safe to anticipate the dominance of midlaners in this event. Out of all forty participants, only nine are midlaners. Check out the players below:

Aurora’s Armel is technically the current King of Mid. He earned the title after defeating SumaiL with ease at the ESL One Malaysia in 2022. The 1v1 battle took place as a tiebreaker match following an intense Group Stage run. It resulted in a 2-0 kill for Armel in a conventional Shadow Fiend showdown.

By team performance, there are a couple of midlaners that exceed the rest. Gaimin Gladiators' midlaner, Quinn, is one of the favorites. He consistently shows a good laning phase and he is indeed the highest ranked midlaner in the Europe server.

Nisha of Team Liquid is also a great contender. The Polish midlaner is known for his disciplined gameplay, rarely committing mistakes. BetBoom Team’s gpk- is also a solid laner andaccording to Quinn, “gpk- thrives in an isolated format like this.”

Quinn also mentioned Malr1ne of Team Falcons, a young, rising midlaner who has been on a roll. In a recentinterview with Yatoro, we asked about his confidence in Larl. With no hesitation, Yatoro says “Yeah, of course. It’s gonna be super easy since it’s not just Shadow Fiends. If there are other heroes he’s going to beat every last one of them.”

So who will be the next king of mid? While we are confident with Nisha and gpk-’s solo performance, players like Malr1ne, Larl, and Quinn may just take the crown.

This will be an interesting spectacle as we haven’t seen a 1v1 show of this scale in ages. Who do you think will be crowned as the new king of mid?
