The first playoff match of VCT Masters Shanghai is 100 Thieves vs FUT Esports, as we enter the double elimination portion of the tournament.
The VCT Masters Shanghai Playoffs are here. The first contest is 100 Thieves vs FUT Esports, in which the formerselected their opponentfollowing the Swiss Stage. And if the following post on X from Boostio is any indication, this should be a good one.

100 Thieves vs FUT Esports - Who will gain early momentum?
100 Thieves had a nice long break heading into this one. As thenumber one seed in Americas, they skipped the Swiss Stage, waiting for its conclusion before finally getting on the stage with the playoff bracket underway.
FUT Esports, however, battled through one of the toughest runs of the Swiss Stage. They took on both Chinese teams in FPX and Dragon Ranger Gaming, losing their first match to FPX. Then they wonan absolute war against LEVto secure their playoff spot.
This one is really about who wants it more. Will the rest that 100T were rewarded help them take the win? Or will the momentum from the Swiss Stage carry over into this series for FUT Esports? Both teams definitely hope the answer is yes to their respective question.

Map 1: Icebox
A quick strike by 100 Thieves got them the pistol round. This was followed byan easy 4K from Asunato get their second. From there, 100T were rolling through FUT Esports. There was nothing the EMEA team could do, as 100 Thieves reached seven rounds in a row without breaking a sweat.
Soon, it waseight in a row without a single plant going downfor the attacking FUT squad. It took a Viper’s Pit and Killjoy Lockdown for FUT to finally get on the board. No momentum was found, however, as 100T immediately got revenge. A big play from eeiu sent the game to halftime.
FUT dominated the second half pistol round, but 100T responded immediately. The Thievesstole away FUT’s weaponry,got the Spike down, and delayed long enough for it to detonate. FUT looked to rebound with an Operator in the hands of cNed.
It wouldn’t come to fruition, unfortunately. 100 Thieves attacked A Site and FUT practically gave it to them for free. Boostio held the flank perfectly while the rest of his team locked down the site. And that was it, a quick win on Icebox.
Map 2: Bind
The opening pistol round was calculated from both teams, but 100 Thieves took it. The next was theirs, thenFUT took away their bonusto get on the board much earlier in this one. An incredibledisplay of utility followed by 100 Thievesto keep their lead and give Cryo a 3K.
100 Thieves, once again, started to string rounds together.Another multikill came to Cryoas FUT lined up for a double. FUT managed to gain some momentum, forcing a 100T eco round. It didn’t last long, however, asCryo took out multiple playersyet again with his rifle and Ultimate. That helped 100T to a halftime lead.
The Thieves took the second half pistol round and looked poised to end the match against FUT early. A couple of well-placed Sheriff shots by cNed looked good for FUT, butit was too late to defuse the Spikeand 100T reached double digits.
At this point, you should have expected it. Another 3K round from Cryo brought 100 Thieves closer to the finish line. A wild push onto A Site and through the FUT spawn is what got 100T to map and series point. A quick B Site execute put an end to things, and sent FUT to the Lower Bracket.
